Today, people are starting to return to the regions of Azerbaijan liberated from Armenian occupation. The first migration took place within the framework of the program, which Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called the "great return" and aims to return hundreds of thousands of people who were forced to leave their lands due to occupation years ago. The first migration was made to the Agali village of Zangilan province, located on the route of the Zangezur corridor. It was reported that 10 families consisting of 58 people moved to Agali village, which was reconstructed by the Azerbaijani state with the concept of "smart village", yesterday and settled in their homes.
Within the week, 31 more families are expected to move to Agali. Thus, in the first phase, 41 families will settle in Agali and all adults in these families will be employed. In Agalı, which was opened to settlement after the occupation, 200 detached houses were built using alternative energy sources, ecological heating and smart lighting systems. The village has a school for 360 people, a kindergarten for 50 people, a health center and markets.
