Kemalpaşa Cherry Blossoms Women's Initiative Kemalpaşa Cherry Blossoms Women's Initiative Production and Business Cooperative, headquartered in Izmir, Founder and Board Members Lawyer Gülay Sulu, Agricultural Engineer Deniz Dalgıç, Teacher Sevgi Demirtaş and Agricultural Engineer Ufuk Öncül visited Vodafone Smart Village Campus. TABİT Management and Founders Tülin Akın and Coşkun Yıldırım, TABİT R&D Manager Orhan Kurt met with the cooperative members and Orhan Kurt made a presentation in the conference hall and gave information about the agricultural technology applications used. Afterwards, the applications were introduced one-to-one and working methods were explained.

"Our Common Ground is Our Women Working in Agriculture"

Thanking the delegation for the visit, Akın emphasized the importance of women's cooperatives and said, "Especially in agriculture and animal husbandry, our women are more tired. For this reason, as a woman, I think that the use of agricultural technologies is very necessary for them. On the other hand, we want to ensure that our farmer women have a social life outside of work in the countryside. For this reason, we show all our farmers how to obtain efficient and quality products with technologies in agriculture and animal husbandry. We are working to ensure that agriculture and animal husbandry is adopted as a profession that earns money, not a job left from the father. In this sense, we would like to take part in joint projects with you as a cooperative."

"Our aim is for women to gain economic independence"

Stating that they were very impressed by the technologies used, the cooperative members expressed their congratulations to Vodafone Founding Member Tülin Akın as a women's cooperative established to support women's entrepreneurship. Speaking on behalf of the visiting delegation, Sevgi Demirtaş noted that the cooperative is a newly established non-governmental organization and their aim is to enable women to gain economic independence.

He noted that they believed that women could cooperate more strongly in every branch of business life by cooperating and that they established the cooperative by saying 'strength comes from unity'. Demirtaş said, "We have seen that the work in TABİT and Vodafone Smart Village is carried out by a professional and dedicated team. The transfer of up-to-date and scientific data to farmers is implemented in a systematic way. On the other hand, we were very impressed by the automation system and other technologies used in agricultural areas. Increasing the quality and efficiency of agricultural products as a result of the combination of research ideas and technology means more profit for all farmers. This is the key to rural development. For this reason, I congratulate you." Lawyer Gülay Sulu noted that they can produce joint projects with Vodafone Smart Village and TABİT management on training and consultancy. Deniz Dalgıç stated that he was very impressed by the Vodafone Smart Village Project and that the technologies applied here should be applied by farmers in every province.
