Project Objective
 

The main objective of the lettuce production project is to provide a more economical and sustainable production method without making it difficult for small family farmers to access lettuce production due to the high costs of modern production greenhouses. The project aims to produce high value-added lettuce even in winter with the use of low-cost high tunnels. It is also aimed to increase the amount of lettuce grown per unit area and increase the yield per decare.

The Work We Performed
 

• An increase in decare yield was achieved by increasing the quality of the products grown per unit area.
• Soil and water analyzes were carried out and appropriate plant nutrients were given to the plant, preventing unnecessary costs.
• With mulch technology, soil temperature is maintained and healthy development of the plant is ensured.
• Since weeds were controlled by mulches, labor costs were reduced.
