Farmer Accident Insurance Awareness Meetings were held with SBN Insurance.

Personal Accident Insurance, offered by SBN Sigorta, assures the insured against unexpected, sudden and external accidents. With this insurance, it minimizes the financial effects of possible accidents that may happen to the insured. Covered risks include death and permanent disability. In case of death, compensation is paid to the specified beneficiaries of the insured, while in case of disability, compensation is provided depending on the degree of disability. In addition, optional coverages include treatment expenses coverage and daily compensation coverage that compensates for loss of income in case of temporary incapacity for work. With this insurance, the insured can feel safer by minimizing the financial burdens that may be caused by unexpected accidents.

This insurance service was introduced to farmers in a project run by Tabit. In this project, information meetings were held at village coffeehouses in order to raise awareness about the Personal Accident Insurance offered by SBN Sigorta to the farmers. The project aimed to explain the advantages of this insurance service to the farmers and to increase their awareness about taking them under protection. Our project has been successfully completed and this insurance service has been widely disseminated among farmers.
